Four Score and Seven Years Ago

I began my career as a mental health professional in 2015. I was working as a community support worker, helping people with serious mental illnesses get into the community and experience life for themselves.

During that time, I ended up partnering with therapists to help my clients execute treatment plans and discuss our successes with their therapists. I was so gratified to be able to help that I decided to go back to school to become one of the therapists that could help my clients with serious life goals, like conquering panic attacks or learning how to feel close to people.

It’s been two years since I graduated with my masters degree in social work, and every day I am grateful for the opportunity to come face-to-face with astounding people. People who don’t just hope for change, they live it.
